1. What we collect

We collect the information you provide when you create an account (email address, date of birth, display name) and the content you create within the app (drink ratings, tasting notes, photos).

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Operate and improve the app.
• Display your ratings, tasting notes, and photos to other attendees at events you attend.
• Display your content on event screens (TV or projection displays) where you have opted in to this feature.
• Share relevant content (including photos and reviews) with event organisers for use in event summaries or promotional materials.
• Send you communications about events, new features, and updates. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.

3. Sharing with event organisers

Event organisers using Feral Sloth can see the ratings, tasting notes, and photos submitted by attendees at their events. This includes your display name and any photo you upload. Organisers may use this content in event reports, social media posts, or other promotional materials. If you do not wish your content to be used in this way, please do not submit it.

4. Screen displays

Some events feature live displays showing photos and tasting notes submitted by attendees (such as a photo montage or comment mosaic shown on a TV or projector). Your content will only appear on these displays if you have opted in to screen display in your profile settings. You can change this preference at any time.

5. Marketing

We may use your email address to send you information about Feral Sloth events, features, and updates. We will not share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

6. Google sign-in

If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google in accordance with Google's own privacy policy. We do not access your Google contacts or other Google data.

7. Photos

Photos you upload are stored securely. They may be viewed by other event attendees, event organisers, and Feral Sloth administrators. Photos that violate our acceptable use policy may be removed.

8. Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Note that content already shared with event organisers or displayed at events may be retained by those organisers independently.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Authentication is handled by Supabase, and passwords are never stored in plain text.

10. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, please contact us.
